4 tbsp flour

2 cups milk

1 tbsp salt

½ tsp white pepper

Instructions:

6. Finally, add the salt and white pepper and simmer until the sauce is smooth and velvet-like.

Topper Tips:

1. Use low heat when melting the butter. If you burn it, the sauce will not be white.

2. Whisk the sauce thoroughly as this will make it smooth and velvet-like.

3. Adding cold milk will make the flour lumpy. Warn milk incorporates better than cold milk.
