These matcha green donuts are delicious. They are healthier than fried donuts and slightly sweet but not overwhelming. The matcha powder gives them a vibrant green color and a wonderful aroma. The batter for this recipe is v easy to prepare, which is another advantage for this recipe. I know that your family will love them.

Important Information:

Course: Dessert or Bread

Cuisine: American

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10-12 minutes

Total Time: 22 minutes

Servings: 10-12 small donuts

Prepping:

· Gather all your ingredients and donut-making tools.

· Pre-measure your ingredients.

· Heat your oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

Ingredients: This recipe consists of traditional baking ingredients. For this recipe, you will need:

· 1 ¼ cup flour

· ¼ cup sugar

· ½ tsp baking powder

· ½ tsp baking soda

· 1 tsp matcha green powder

· ½ tsp salt

· 2/3 cup coconut oil

· ½ cup milk

· 1 egg

· ½ tsp vinegar

· 1 tbsp vanilla

Glaze:

· 1 ½ cup powder sugar

· ½ to 1 tsp matcha green powder

· 2 to 3 tsp of hot water

Instructions:

1. For this recipe, gather all your dry ingredients and sift them into your mixer bowl.

2. Then, begin to add all your wet ingredients.

3. With a spatula, gently fold the ingredients together, including the room temperature shortening. It will eliminate the splatter of flour.

4. Once most of the wet ingredients have been incorporated, turn the mixer to a low-medium speed for 2 minutes.

5. Take the dough and place it in a piping bag.

6. Oil your baking pan with a baking spray of your choice. I used coconut oil.

7. Take the piping bag and pipe the filling in the donut pan; only fill ¼ of the donut slot. The dough will puff up nicely.

8. Once all donut slots have been filled, give the pan a shake to evenly settle the dough into the spaces.

9. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes. After baking let the donuts cool for 15 minutes.

10. Prepare the glaze ingredients and dip the donuts. Set them on a cooling rack with a baking pan underneath. Sprinkle with your favorite topping.

Topper Tips:

1. Do not fill the donut slots to the rim. They puff up nicely.

2. If using ceremonial green powder, use ½ tsp less as it is strong.

3. Glaze your donuts while they are still warm. You do not want your glaze to clump.

4. Do not overbake these donuts. You do not want to make them tough in texture.
