How To Make Indian Hot Bread

btamez1

This recipe is so delicious! For this recipe, I took my favorite bread rolls recipe and stuffed them with an Indian filling. I am going to detail the filling in this article. But before that, I want to mention a few things about the bread rolls recipe. The rolls are very soft and tasty. They held the filling well without leaking any of it. The bread held up well after seven days. They were still soft and not at all greasy. You can find our Bread Roll recipe on our blog.

Ingredients: This filling is easy to make and tasty! It requires quite a few ingredients, but most of these ingredients are found in every kitchen. The Indian spices are easily found at your local grocery store. For this recipe, you will need:

· 1 cup chicken

· 2 tbsp oil

· 1 teaspoon of turmeric

· 1 tsp garam masala

· 1 tsp coriander powder

· 1 tsp cumin powder

· ¼ cup onion

· 1 tablespoon chopped garlic

· 1 tablespoon chopped ginger

· ¼ cup chopped capsicum

· ¼ julienned carrots

· 2 sweet peppers

· 1 jalapeno

· 2 boiled potatoes

· 1 tbsp salt or to taste

Instructions:

1. Using a medium to medium flame, pour the oil into a skillet and place your onion, ginger, and garlic in the pan. Cook this mixture for approximately 5 minutes.

2. Add the chicken and the jalapeno and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Stir continuously.

3. Then, add all the spices and continue to stir. Continue cooking for another 2 1/2 minutes.

4. After, add all the vegetables and continue to cook for another 2 ½ minutes.

5. Add your salt to taste, remove the mixture from the stove, and let it cool.

6. Refer to the rolls recipe for the dough recipe. You can find this on our blog.

7. To fill the dough balls, flatten them with your hand and roll them until about a centimeter thick.

8. Place ¼ cup of filling or a large scoop in the center of the flattened dough.

9. After, pinch the flattened dough all the way around until completely closed.

10. Roll the filled dough in the palm of your hand until smooth and completely closed.

11. Place the filled dough balls in your pan and brush them with an egg wash.

12. Finally, place them in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until they have puffed and reached a nice golden brown color.

Topper Tips:

1. Do not overcook the chicken mixture as it will also receive a cook in the oven.

2. You can also use melted butter in place of the egg wash.

3. Play with the mix of vegetables in the recipe and make it your own.

4. All ovens are different, so monitor your hot pieces of bread.
