Important Information:

Course: Entree

Cuisine: Mexican

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Servings: 4

Prepping:

· Prep your vegetables, wash them thoroughly and cut them into small dice.

· Finely chop your garlic and onion.

· Drain and rinse your ground beef.

Ingredients: This recipe is so easy! All the components for this preparation are already in your kitchen. Don’t be afraid to substitute the ingredients in this recipe to make it your own. For this recipe, you will need:

· 1 lb ground beef

· 1 tsp cumin seeds or powder

· 1 ½ tbsp beef bouillon

· ¼ cup chopped onion

· 2 chopped garlic cloves

· 1 Roma tomato

· 1/4 tsp salt or to taste

· 1 tbsp oil

· 4 cups of water

Instructions:

1. Place the meat in your pan and put 3 cups of water in your pan.

2. Use a high flame and allow the mixture to come to a simmer. This should take about 10 minutes.

3. Discard the greasy water and add 1 cup of cold, clean water. Allow this water to evaporate.

4. Then, add a tablespoon of oil to the center of the pan. Add the cumin seeds, onion, garlic, and bouillon. Mix the ingredients well into the beef.

5. Cook this mixture for another 5 minutes or until the onions are translucent. Stir continuously so that all the flavors are incorporated well.

6. Finally, add the tomatoes and cook for five more minutes or until they have softened.

Topper Tips:

1. You can replace the onion and garlic with powder spices. The dish is just as tasty (1 tsp garlic powder & 1 tbsp of onion powder).

2. After a quick simmer, discard the water from the beef and continue to simmer it with one cup of clean water. It helps eliminate greasiness.

3. Use lean ground beef to eliminate the greasy taste and keep this recipe on the healthy side.

4. Taste your mixture for salt after adding the bouillon. Bouillons tend to have a lot of salt. You might find that you do not need to add any salt to this recipe.
